Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya secures bronze, reach finals of Tokyo Olympics 2020

Ravi Kumar (23 years) from Haryana, Sonipat has defeated double world medalist Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan in 57Kg category wrestling and reach in finals. He has created history and makes India Proud in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

After Sushil Kumar, Dahia has become the second Indian wrestler to reach the finals in Olympics. A player needs to be mentally fit along with physical strength. Half success can be achieved by courage and stamina. The same thing prove with Ravi when double leg attack was become deficit but Ravi has smartly turned the game upside down. He tightly gripped his opponent Sanayev in the last minutes of the game and achieved the victory. He has gained points at a faster pace during the game and following a series of twit and grips. Initially, at the opening of the Olympics, he gained huge wins by defeating Columbian (13-2) and Bulgarian (14-4) players.

Ravi Kumar got the gold medal in the 2021 Asian championships. Bronze in 57 Kg’s weightlifting 2019 world championships. Now finals will be held with Uruguay player Zavur Uguev on Thursday. The unprecedented and historic gold medal waits for Ravi Kumar Dahia. Best wishes for the finals!
