A mechanical engineer from Maharashtra (30 years) has created history in the Indian Aerospace program. She has been associated with American-funded private spaceflight named blue origin. Amazon founder worked with the blue origin and the main motive was to innovate new launch vehicles. One of the team members was Sanjal Gavande (an Indian origin engineer). Blue Origin launched its first crewed spaceflight from the company’s launch site. The name of the company is on the blue planet (earth) whose aim is to develop new technologies in aerospace and access to orbital space.
For Sanjal Gavande it was a milestone mission for the space tourism company. Gavande has completed her schooling in Maharashtra and went to Mumbai for a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. From the USA she had completed a master’s degree in aerospace. After a lot of effort, she has achieved a pilot license in 2016 and started to earn. To make her skills polish and refine Gavande has taken flying lessons also.
Due to a citizenship issue, she was unable to get a NASA membership. A young mechanical engineer chases her dreams and applied for a blue-origin company. She was luckily selected in a company through an interview and worked under the project ‘new shepherd rocket’. Gavande achieved all things in her life and pursue her dreams with a lot of effort and hard work. Now she got a commercial pilot license in the USA.
